Challenge #1. Bring together different, strong ideas toward a common goal without suppressing the team’s contributions.
Approach: Encourage open discussions and rapid iteration by using creative vision as a compass rather than a rule.
Key learning: A clear vision does not replace collaboration; it makes it possible. Leadership is not about imposing a direction, but about nurturing a shared framework in which people feel both free and accountable.
Challenge #2. Transforming a creative vision into a shared production language that stays clear, accessible, and actionable throughout development.
Approach: Design systems that support the vision, keeping documentation on the project's decisions (story, systems, color script, etc.), formalizing writing and gameplay intentions, and structuring processes so that everyone can move forward independently.
Key learning: Creative direction becomes sustainable when decisions, intentions, and reference points are made visible and accessible to the entire team. Good creative direction is something they can refer to at any time.
